2. Unpack and install the extension

After downloading the package:

  1. Unzip the downloaded dist.zip file to a folder on your computer.
  2. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions.
  3. Enable Developer mode in the top-right corner.
  4. Select Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.

3. Copy and paste the Extension ID

After installation, open chrome://extensions, find Algo Location Finder, and copy the extension ID shown under the extension name.

Paste that ID into AlgorithmX to connect the browser extension to your workspace.

The current extension ID appears in the extension settings panel and can be edited or removed when needed.

After the ID is saved successfully, the page changes to Connected. The Extension ID remains visible so you can update or remove the connection if needed.

Why this extension is needed

The Algo Location Finder extension lets you preview web templates directly on any website. For on-site templates, it also lets you select the exact element where the template should be inserted by clicking on elements on the live page. The selected location is then captured automatically for use in the template builder.
