Email Templates

Create, manage, and customize reusable email designs for campaigns.

The Email Templates section allows you to create, manage, and customize reusable email designs for your email campaigns. You can start with a ready-made template, create a design from scratch, or build a fully customized email with HTML or the visual drag-and-drop editor.

Email Template Library

The Email Template List is divided into two categories:

  • Default Templates: Pre-built templates provided by the platform that you can use as starting points.
  • Custom Templates: Templates created and saved by your team for future campaigns.

From the library, you can:

  • Browse all available email templates.
  • Preview existing templates.
  • Create a new email template.
  • Edit, duplicate, or delete custom templates from the options menu.

The top-right New Email Template button starts a new design. Default template cards are provided by AlgorithmX, while Custom Template cards include an options menu for managing designs saved by your team.

The library separates platform-provided Default Templates from your team's Custom Templates.

Design Editor

The Design Editor is a visual drag-and-drop editor for building emails without writing code. It is suitable for most marketing workflows and also provides access to HTML editing when more advanced customization is required.

HTML Editor

The HTML Editor is a code-based editor for users who prefer to create fully customized email layouts using HTML.

Email Design Editor

The Design Editor provides an interactive workspace where you can visually design and review an email before using it in a campaign.

Preview modes

Switch between the available preview modes to check how the email will render on different screen sizes:

  • Mobile View: Preview the email on smartphone-sized screens.
  • Desktop View: Preview the email on larger screens.

Toolbar

The editor toolbar includes the following actions:

  • Undo: Revert recent changes.
  • Code: Access and edit the HTML source.
  • AI: Generate or improve email content with artificial intelligence.
  • Send Test: Send a test email before publishing or using the template.
  • Save Template: Save the current design to the template library for future use.

Email canvas

The center of the editor displays the live email canvas. Use it to:

  • Edit text.
  • Replace images.
  • Update buttons.
  • Modify colors and spacing.
  • Rearrange sections.
  • Customize individual content blocks visually.

The blank design canvas begins with drop areas for rows and content. The toolbar on the left provides the building blocks used to add structures, text, buttons, spacers, images, lists, and custom HTML. Select a block in the canvas to configure it on the right.

Use the left toolbar to add content, build the layout in the center, and adjust general settings in the right panel.

Properties panel

When you select an element in the email canvas, the Properties panel provides controls for editing:

  • Text content.
  • Typography.
  • Colors.
  • Alignment.
  • Links.
  • Translations for multilingual emails.
  • Other settings related to the selected component.

This allows you to adjust email elements quickly without manually editing the HTML source.

Work with a completed design

As you add content, the center canvas becomes a live preview of the email. Select text, a link, or an image in the preview to edit that specific element. The right panel guides you to select content before exposing element-level properties.

The top toolbar keeps Mobile and Desktop previews available throughout editing. It also provides Undo, Code, AI, Send Test, and Save Template actions, so you can test and save without leaving the editor.

Select any text, link, or image in the live preview to edit it; use the top toolbar to test, preview, generate with AI, or save.

AI Email Generator

The integrated AI assistant can generate a complete email template based on your campaign requirements.

Generate mode

In Generate mode, provide the information that should guide the email design:

  • AI request or campaign description.
  • Company name.
  • Company slogan.
  • Email type, such as Newsletter or Promotional.
  • Logo URL.
  • Primary font.
  • Secondary font.
  • Primary color.
  • Secondary color.
  • Background color.

After entering the required information, select Generate to automatically create the email design.

The AI window includes Generate and Edit modes. Generate replaces the current editor content with a newly created email, while Edit lets you refine an existing AI-produced design. The information banner in the window reminds you that generating a new design updates the preview.

Provide the campaign brief and brand details, then select Generate to create a complete HTML email design.

Edit mode

After an email has been generated, switch to Edit mode to modify the AI-generated content. You can refine the text, layout, styling, and content blocks before saving the template.

Testing and Saving

Before using a template in a campaign:

  1. Preview the design in Mobile View and Desktop View.
  2. Select Send Test to verify formatting and content in an actual email message.
  3. Make any required adjustments in the editor.
  4. Select Save Template to save the design to your library.

Saved templates can be reused across multiple email campaigns without rebuilding the design each time.
